Priyanka loves being called the sexiest.....
Bollywood Gossip : Bollywood Actress Priyanka Chopra says she loves being the centre of the male gaze.
“I love the attention I get. Which girl doesn’t? To be considered hot is …cool! To be called the sexiest, the most desirable, etc in magazine and website polls is very flattering. I take it in my stride.
Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and I’m glad a lot of men behold me. There’s no special man to make me feel special. Between my family and career there’s no room for for anyone else.”

Bollywood Gossip - UAE bans God Tussi Great Ho
Authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have ordered the Salman Khan-starrer Bollywood film God Tussi Great Ho off screens in this Gulf nation following complaints that it violated Islamic teachings.
The National Media Council ordered that the movie, released in India and here on Friday, not be screened in the UAE after receiving scores of complaints from viewers.
The movie also stars Priyanka Chopra and Amitabh Bachchan, and is considered a remake of the 2003 Hollywood production Bruce Almighty starring Jim Carrey.
In the film, Bachchan plays the role of god as he meets Salman’s character Arun Prajapati who blames god for all his problems.
“Those who saw the movie told the authorities they were shocked to find that Bachchan played the role of ‘god’,” reports said.

As If Bridget Moynihan Didn’t Already Hold A Grudge Against Gisele…
If it’s not bad enough that Tom Brady broke off his relationship with Bridget Moynihan who was pregnant with his child at the time, and then went on to marry supermodel Gisele Bundchen, now Gisele is playing Mommy in a pretty intense way with Brady and Moynihan’s kid. Little John Moynihan spends half his time with his dad Tom, but apparently Gisele feels such a bond with the child that she told Vanity Fair, “It’s not like because somebody else delivered him, that’s not my child. I love him the same way as if he were mine. I already feel like he’s my son, from the first day.”
Uhh, that’s nice that John has two mommies and all, but maybe not that nice for poor Bridget to hear. Gisele also said, “He’s my little angel — the sweetest, most cuddly, loving baby.” Maybe in Brazil the laws of parenting are looser, but if we were Bridget, we’d feel a little like we’re playing out a really bad Lifetime Movie Network movie right now, especially since Moynihan and Bundchen have apparently never met. Seriously, could things be any worse for Bridget? First she’s cast in Sex and the City as the role of “the idiot stick figure with no soul” who catches her husband cheating, and now this.

Preity Zinta “Videsh” movie gets A Certificate
Bollywood Gossip : Director Deepa Mehta has decided to release her film ‘Videsh’ with an “A” Certificate.
The censor board had objected to certain scenes in the film based on the topic of domestic violence.
The officials of the censor board had felt that some scenes which showed the protagonist played by Bollywood Actress Preity Zinta being battered are too violent and brutal.
They suggested to Deepa that these scenes be deleted.
Instead the director chose not to dilute the intended impact of the film and go for the “Adult” certificate.
She also had complete support from B.R.Films, the production company which produced ‘Videsh’ to go ahead with her decision.
CEO of BR Films- Sanjay Bhutiani says “The essence of the film is highlighting social issues and domestic violence is one among them. The Censor Board had objected to the cruelty shown in some scenes and therefore Deepa Mehta and BR Films have decided to go along with the “A” certificate which would not compromise on the creative integrity of the film”.
The film hit the big screens on March 27, 2009.

Sanjay Dutt banned from Lok Sabha Elections
Sanjay Dutt’s plea to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections was on Tuesday rejected by the Supreme Court which refused to stay his conviction in connection with the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.
“We are not inclined to suspend his conviction,” a Bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan said.
“It is not a fit case to grant stay of conviction,” the Bench also comprising Justices P Sathasivam and R M Lodha said.
Dutt had been fielded by the Samajwadi Party as its candidate for Lucknow Lok Sabha seat.
The Court said that Sanjay Dutt was convicted for “serious offence” under the Arms Act by a Mumbai TADA Court.
The Bench said that the actor’s case could not be equated with that of BJP leader Navjot Singh Sidhu whose conviction and sentence in a road rage case was stayed by the apex court to enable him to contest the Amritsar by- elections in 2007.
The Bench said that Sanjay Dutt was disqualified from contesting the elections under the Section 8 (3) of the Representation of People Act, which debars a person sentenced to two or more years of imprisonment, from standing for polls.
Talking about the decision Sanjay Dutt said he abides by the Supreme Court’s decision against suspending his conviction in a criminal case to enable him to fight Lok Sabha elections, but added that Lucknow remains “my home”.
“I respect the decision of the honourable court. I am a law-abiding citizen and I really appreciate that the honourable court absolved me of TADA (Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act) charges,” Sanjay Dutt told reporters here.
He, however, added: “I am not going to leave Lucknow. Lucknow is my home whether I fight this election or not. This is my father’s place and I owe a lot to Lucknow. I am not going to leave Lucknow no matter what happens.”
Asked if his wife Manyata would now fight elections, he said: “This decision would be taken by (Samajwadi Party leaders) Mulayam Singhji and Amar Singhji. It’s my duty that I stand besides them lifelong.
“Whosoever will be the new (Samajwadi Party) candidate will be my candidate. This is my seat and will remain forever,” Sanjay Dutt added.
The Samajwadi Party had earlier announced Dutt as its candidate for the Lucknow seat. If he cannot contest, then his wife will be the candidate, the party had later said.
Lucknow was represented in the outgoing Lok Sabha by former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee of the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), who is not contesting this time due to advancing age.
Dutt has been convicted of holding illegal arms in the run-up to the 1993 Mumbai serial bombings.

I didn’t kick Shah Rukh off his pedestal says Aamir
Bollywood Actor Aamir Khan, joined CNN’s special edition of ‘TALK ASIA’ filmed in front of a live studio audience in Mumbai, where he shared with host Anjali Rao his opinion on leading Bollywood actors, his sentiments on the Mumbai terror attacks and more.
CNN ’TALK ASIA’ with Aamir Khan will be aired first on Wednesday, March 25 at 1800hrs IST and repeat telecast on Saturday, March 28 at 1000hrs and 2000hrs IST.
Anjali Rao: It’s a real pleasure to have you with us today so thanks so much for making yourself available again. Your most recent film Ghajini is now the biggest Bollywood success ever. Did you have any idea that it would be quite as huge as it is?
Aamir Khan: You can hope that, you can hope that for all of your films. But you can never really tell until you see the film with the audience, how it’s going to play with the audience in the theatre.
So I think in Ghajini what we set out to make we were in fact able to achieve that. I realised that I’m making a hardcore mainstream film after really long, which is fine. I guess I’m happy to do that.
Anjali Rao: After this movie made it so big, people said that you were the real ‘King Khan’.
And that you’d kicked off Shah Rukh off his perch because he appeals to the masses but you’ve managed to do this thing that loads of actors would love to do.
In that you’ve had both critical and commercial success in spades. How do you do that? How do you stop from being pigeon-holed in one box or another?
Aamir Khan: Well, you know, I just do work which excites me and which I enjoy doing. I just do work which makes me happy. And I have absolutely no intentions of kicking Shah Rukh off his pedestal. Though I have to say I don’t think he ever was on it.
But in my opinion, the actor who I really look up to is Mr Amitabh Bachchan. He is someone who’s work I really like and he’s a fantastic actor and the kind of stardom that Mr Bachchan has seen none of us can ever hope to see. So for me, he’s the guy.
Anjali Rao: You’re not only a major actor but you also had your directorial debut in Taare Zameen Par. What was it like for you switching to the other side of the camera, at the same time obviously and starring in it?
Aamir Khan: It was tough, mainly because I wasn’t meant to direct the film to begin with. So I kind of jumped in a week into the shoot. I just went with my gut. Actually, I didn’t even have time to think, quite honestly.
And now when I look back, I realise that I had reached a point in my career where I had been wanting to direct a film for really long, and the pressure kept keeping me away from it. The fact that it happened this way didn’t give me a chance to think and decide, you know.
I just jumped into it because I had to, and I ended up making the film, you know, to the best of my abilities. So I didn’t really, you know maybe if I hadn’t done that I wouldn’t be directing for the next 10 years more, I don’t know.
So I guess I’m glad it happened finally because I’m happy with the way the film turned out and I’m happy with the way the kind of impact it had on people.
Anjali Rao: Slumdog Millionaire was a huge eye opener, I think, but you know for all the accolades that it got around the world, there were plenty here in India who slammed it. What did you think of it?
Madhuri dons dancing shoes for “Aaja Nachle”
MUMBAI (Reuters Life!) - Madhuri Dixit, one of Bollywood’s biggest stars whose dancing sizzled the screen for years, will play a choreographer who returns to her roots in a film marking her comeback to acting after six years.
At 42, Dixit’s return is eagerly watched by an industry where men play romantic heroes well into their 50s but leading ladies start losing their appeal — and roles — by the time they reach 30 or get married.
Dixit’s career began two decades ago and she quickly won recognition for her acting skills and nubile dancing.
Now married with two children and living in the United States, Dixit has lost none of her screen allure, says the director of her comeback film “Aaja Nachle”, a musical with several dance scenes due to premiere next week.
“We thought it would take a little time for her to come back to her groove after six years but she proved us wrong,” Anil Mehta told Reuters.
“She was always doing everything with perfection, a quality you associate Madhuri with.”
Mehta said the actress, who began her career as a little-known model, is as nimble as ever, executing Western moves, Indian classical dancing or even raunchy Bollywood gyrations in mid-riff baring saris with ease.
The film tells the story of a passionate dancer who makes it big as a choreographer and moves to live in the United States.
She returns to India after hearing that her dance guru was on his deathbed and after he passes away, she devotes herself to saving a theatre where she learnt dancing as a child.
“It is her fight to save her roots from dying,” Mehta said. “We could not think of any other actress to play the lead role of a film that had so many dance portions other than Madhuri.”
Mehta said his team was so mesmerised with Dixit’s dancing that all they did during post-production was watch the scenes of her dancing again and again.
“She is as graceful as she was and she is back with her best in the film,” he said.

Akshay-Kareena rock in Kambakkht Ishq promos
Bollywood Gossip : All eyes are KAMBAKKHT ISHQ and rightly so! Some of the biggest names in the business — Sajid Nadiadwala, Kishore and Sunil Lulla of Eros, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor — have got together for this film and the makers have also roped in a good number of international biggies (Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards, Brandon Routh) for the project.
The first promo of the film will be unveiled this week, with the prints of AA DEKHEN ZARA.
The promo begins with a striking visual — the skyline of Los Angeles — and soon Stallone takes over. He’s about to hand over an award to the best stuntman (Akshay Kumar). Yes, Akki plays a stuntman in the film, while Kareena plays a supermodel.
One would expect the two lovebirds to hold hands and run around trees, right? But KAMBAKKHT ISHQ is different.
Here, the two are constantly at war, constantly arguing and threatening the other. The tu-tu-main-main makes for interesting viewing and the backdrop (Hollywood) only elevates the film to dizzy heights. If the promo is an indicator of what is to follow, await KAMBAKKHT ISHQ with bated breath.

Mallika is now Rs one crore girl too ??
Mallika Sherawat had quite a successful 2007 with a hat-trick of box office successes to her name. However, even though ‘Guru’, ‘Aap Ka Surroor - The Moviee’ and ‘Welcome’ were all money spinners, Mallika only had supporting roles or cameo appearances in each of the three films.
While in ‘Guru’, she gyrated to the tune of chartbuster track ‘Maiyya Maiyya’, in case of ‘Aap Kaa Surroor - The Moviee’ there were rumors about her charging a whopping Rs one crore in fees for a short appearance.
In the film, she had an item track ‘Mehbooba’ in addition to a few scenes as a woman who had much more than just a crush on Himesh Reshammiya.
Even though she was promoted as a vamp in the film, she hardly seemed to be the one as the film progressed.
Meanwhile, the latest release ‘Welcome’ is her biggest blockbuster of all times. Even as she made an appearance only in the second half of the film, her arrival only made the proceedings livelier.
Her naughty antics with Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor managed to get the house down with her ‘Kiya Kiya’ song and dance number with the two veterans turning out to be a chartbuster.
Says a source closely associated with the actor, “The year 2007 has gone quite well for Mallika even though she didn’t have a lead role to play in any of the three films.
After ‘Pyaar Ke Side Effects’, her fans have obviously been asking for more. After a consistently good run, in the form of three super hit films, she is all set to enter 2008 with a lot more confidence.”
The year 2008 is indeed special for Madame M as she would be seen in at least three high profile projects - ‘Ugly And Pagli’, ‘Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam’ and a Tamil film ‘Dasavatharam’.
Reveals the source, “‘Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam’ is all set to remind the audience of the great chemistry that Mallika shared with Rahul Bose in ‘Pyaar Ke Side Effects’. The film is a wonderful package.
Not only does it comes from the house of Venus who are looking at making a comeback after the debacle of ‘Aap Ki Khatir’; it also has Sanjay Chhel as a director who wrote such superb one liners in ‘Partner’.
Actors like Paresh Rawal and Kay Kay Menon in the cast only make this yet another more comedy to watch out for in 2008.”
Another comedy which Mallika’s fans can expect from her this year is ‘Ugly And Pagli’.
A Pritish Nandy Communications’ production, the film, as per its producer Rangita Pritish Nandy, is ‘Bollywood’s quirkiest, kinkiest and funniest romance’.
To be directed by debutant Sachin Khot, the film sees Mallika paired opposite Ranvir Shorey who had a supporting role to play in ‘Pyaar Ke Side Effects’. A romantic comedy, the film has music by Anu Malik.
Before the year comes to a close, Mallika would be also seen in her biggest and costliest Indian project ever - ‘Dasavatharam’ (which stands for ‘Ten Incarnations’).
She is said to be playing a CIA agent in the film that has Kamal Hassan in the lead with as many as 10 characters to portray.
With three major films up her sleeves that would feature Mallika in different roles as a leading lady, 2008 could well be the year that acts as her calling card!

Naomi Heading To Bollywood!
Is Bollywood really that desperate?
Hollywood Actress Naomi Campbell took part in a fashion show last week in Mumbai. After the show, she was reportedly asked to come back and audition for a film.
What a HOrrible idea!
A source says, “Naomi had never modelled in India before but she loved every minute. At the end of the show, two well-known Bollywood producers approached her and asked if she’d be interested in screen testing. Naomi was incredibly flattered and plans to come back to Mumbai for more talks whenever she next has a break in her schedule.”
Really, what type of acting skills does Naomi have?
Maybe if they cast her as an aging model with one hell of a temper, she could play the role well!

Is Malaika Arora Khan Pregnant ?
Like a gentle speedbreaker on a curving road, that’s how the little bump on Malaika Arora Khan’s otherwise washboard abs looked when she took the ramp for Vikram Chatwal’s Mai Mumbai show on Day 2 of the Lakme Fashion Week Fall-Winter 09.
The front-benchers in the audience, friends of the stunning Bollywood diva sashaying sexily with swinging hips, whispered loud enough to hear, that Malaika was three months pregnant.

I would never Kiss or Strip-Ayesha Takia [Photo Gallery included]
“I just couldn’t do the kissing scene in Aashayein. We tried to find a way out. But it didn’t work out for me.
Fortunately for me, Nagesh is a dear friend. He didn’t hold my no against me. We completed Tasveer with Akshay Kumar in Canada. And there was nothing there to make me uncomfortable.”
Bollywood Actress Ayesha Takia is aware that her more uninhibited colleagues are making hey-hey-hey while she refuses to get bold on camera.
“But I don’t mind losing out on roles. At least ten years from now I don’t want to look back and cringe at anything. I’ve a family and a boyfriend. And I don’t want to embarrass anyone.”
Ayesha has an exciting year ahead with films with big-league heroes. “I’m working with Actor Ajay Devgan in Sunday, Akshay Kumar in Nagesh Kukunoor’s supernatural-psychological thriller Tasveer. We shot it in one stretch in Canada.
Then I’ve Prabhu Deva’s Wanted, an action film with Bollywood Actor Salman Khan. Here I don’t have much to do. I hang around doing whatever leading ladies do …sing, dance and purse my lips when the hero fights,” she says with disarming honesty.
Candid in her self-assessment, she sees a boyfriend as no impediment to her career.
“In fact I’m so glad Farhan is no part of the industry. And that he’s a self- made man who loves me for whom I am. I don’t think having a boyfriend is any problem for a career.
The only annoying part of having a boyfriend is that every time I’ve a release I’m informed by the press that I’m getting married in two months. It irritates me. When I get married I’ll announce it from rooftops. I’m proud of my boyfriend.” says Actress Ayesha Takia
Boyfriend is no problem. But her selfcensorship code does hamper her onward progression. “There’re things that I wouldn’t do, like kiss and wear certain kinds of clothes.
And yes that does put me at a disadvantage. But I’m very happy with the work that I’m getting. After Dor I’m being taken seriously as an actress. ”
Last year she had a patch of rough whether when Salaam-e-Ishq and No Smoking bombed. “Everyone kept asking why I reappeared in No Smoking in a double role.
I’d like all questions about that film to be directed to the director Anurag Kashyap. please. I’ve no clue.It was small role, just ten days’ work I’d do another film for Anurag anytime. He’s a friend.

Bollywood Gossip - I am not pregnant says Aishwarya
She also dismissed reports that the couple had bought a bungalow in Dubai to hide her pregnancy from the media.
‘I am sitting here in front of you. So, it is not true that we have got a bungalow in Dubai to hide (pregnancy) from the media, ‘ she said.
Abhishek added: ‘We are not expecting a baby. In case we do, we will let you know. We will not rob you of that moment.’
She also clarified that she had not worn Rs.1 million-worth shades in ‘Sarkar Raj’, that stars all three of them, as reported in the media earlier.
‘I am not wearing a Rs.1 million worth sunglass in the film as reported by the media, ‘ she said.

Bollywood Gossip - I may flaunt but I’m just a Desi girl
Bollywood Actress Celina Jaitley is all set to stage her grand come back with Ganesh Acharaya directed film, ‘Money Hai To Honey Hai’, after having disappeared from the scene for some time with her International project ‘Love Has No Language’.
When I meet her for this interview at her spacious, but well decorated house in the suburbs, Celina talks in length about the film, and says that it is a story of six friends, who are strugglers in their own respective fields.
“I play a fashion designer, Shruti Pandey who has graduated from NIFT and yet struggles while trying to sell a pattern of her own to export houses”, Celina quips at the outset.
The film “Money Hai To Honey Hai”, Celina Jaitley states, sets out to drive home the subtle message that today’s education system really sucks and how.
“It is a comical representation of today’s education system and stars besides me, stars like Govinda, Aftab Shivdasani, Upen Patel, Manoj Bajpai, Ravi Kishen and Hansika Motwani. Each of us has a different background as a struggler in the film”.
Yet another film with which Celina is quite excited is Subhash Ghai’s ‘Hello Darling’ in which she plays a young catholic girl called Candy Fernandes. “Candy is a little dumb when people try to talk in double language to her.
The film dwells at length about how it is wrong on the part of people in society today to judge a woman on the basis of what she is wearing. It is a chic film and I enjoyed working with Isha Koppikar and Gul Panag”, says Celina.
The actress then hastens to clarify, “Just because there are three women in Hello Darling like there were in Charlie’s Angels, it does not mean that you should jump to the conclusion that Hello Darling is a rehash of Charlie’s Angels”.
Celina states that she can identify herself with the role in Hello Darling completely.
“People feel that I am anglicized and cannot talk in Hindi when the fact is that I am from a Hindi medium school background and very good in Sanskrit and Hindi.
I may flaunt blood costumes on the screen, but am conservative at heart and a very simple and down to earth girl who is rooted to the family”.
Celina is happy that she gets to play a comic role in Golmaal Returns. “I am a young well educated girl who is doing her graduation in Microbiology.
Just as Kareena Kapoor’s character is named Ekta Kapoor, my character is named Mira Nair, though it has got nothing to do with filmmaker Mira Nair. I have been teamed opposite Shreyas Talpade in the film.
The best thing about Shreyas and me is that we have very good timing to carry off the comedy scenes. I have been a great fan of Sridevi as far as comedy roles are concerned”, states Celina.
Celina confesses that she realized that she had a comic streak to her as an actress when she acted in ‘No Entry’ in which she had a zany comic role.
“After No Entry, I have done a spate of comedy films like Apna Sapna Money Money, Tom Dick & Harry, Money Hai To Honey Hai and now Golmaal Returns”
After Apna Sapna Money Money and Hello Darling, Celina has been repeated in Paying Guest by Mukta Arts. “I am lucky to have been singled out by Ghaisaab for a third film in his production company.
I play a cry baby architect in ‘Paying Guest’ which by the way is being directed by Paritosh Painter. I have been a fan of Paritosh who comes up with excellent plays.
Besides the Mukta Arts, I have also been signed for a three- film contract by Kumar Mangat, Ashtavinayak and Suneel Darshan”
Celina is quite excited about her recent foray to the West with a film called ‘Love Has No Language’ directed by Ken Khan.
“I play an Indian Bengali girl brought up in New Zealand. My parents played by Kiran Kumar and Rati Agnihotri are very orthodox and want me to marry an Indian boy of their choice, whereas I am in love with a Kiwi boy.
I am kiwi by nature and hence am stuck between my family and the boy played by Ben Mitchell. with whom I am in love with. It is a modern story”
It is interesting to note that Celina was slated to act in yet another English film called ‘Quest of Shehzada’. “However because of the writer’s Strike abroad, the film has been kept on hold and the shooting is yet to start.
Though the director is yet to be finalized, Orlando Bloom is being considered as an actor”, she states as she concludes. Jyothi Venkatesh

Celina waits for Homosexuality to be accepted legally
As we all know Bollywood Actress Celina Jaitley has started blogging where she shares her thoughts on elections, the terror attack, security, the common man and myriad other issues which she feels she can contribute to.
Celina Jaitley is the only Bollywood actress who is a Gay Right Activist and openly supports their stand.
Having worked on development projects related to HIV and AIDS, the actress is all set to unleash her ideas and share her thoughts with like-minded people.
“I believe actions speak louder than words.
As of today me and a couple of others have decided to start an initiation of ‘Voting for none provision’ I am waiting for a party to see what really and genuinely it has to offer to me, I am waiting for a feeling of security within my own city.
I am waiting to get a ration card and passport on time without red tapism, I am waiting for Homosexuality to be accepted legally, I am waiting for compensation to all who laid their lives, I am waiting for protection within 15 minutes of a terrorist attack, I am waiting to see my country at its full potential” Says the actress.
When we asked Bollywood Actress Celina Jaitley about her recent venture she said, “I am very happy about the kind of response my blog has received.
I have received an offer to write a column in a newspaper too. But all that kept that aside, I thank everyone for the feedback and response. I am happy about the fact that it motivated many.
But will people’s response to this tragedy continue or will it fizzle out with time is my question and the next topic that I would write on. We have to hold together if we want a change in the system because I don’t want this fire to fizzle out.”

When Aishwarya left Amar Singh speechless ???
Bollywood News : Such is the oomph that Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai exudes that it can even leave speechless a hard-bitten politico like Amar Singh who has mastered the turn of phrase and is used to being surrounded by TV reporters eager for a sound byte.
That’s exactly what happened at the Rashtrapati Bhawan Tuesday as Aishwarya Rai arrived in style to receive her Padma Shri civilian honour from President Pratibha Patil.
Tall and lissome and clad in an embroidered pink sari, she was quite naturally the cynosure of all eyes as she regally swept into the ornate Durbar Hall for the ceremony.
It was only a little later that the audience realised that she was accompanied by her equally tall father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and the rather shorter Amar Singh, who is the general secretary of the Samajwadi Party and a very visible face on TV these days in the run up to the general elections.
As the TV cameras rolled and the still photographers clicked away furiously, Aishwarya quite visibly savoured the moment even as Singh seemed lost.
Cut to the Banquet Hall where the guests adjourend to after the ceremony for high tea.
As she entered, Aishwarya Rai was quickly surrounded by eager autograph seekers thrusting forward everything from invitation cards to writing pads to pieces of paper for her to sign.
A smaller group surrounded Bachchan and as for Amar Singh, he moved from one to the other, not quite knowing what to do.
Finally, he decided to call it a day and slunk into the background, his expression seeming to say: “What am I doing here?”
