Mariah’s Sexy Birthday Party

Nick Cannon threw his wifey of almost one year, Mariah Carey, a luxurious 40th birthday party in Barbados. No expense was spared for Mariah and her guests, who attended an 11 person dinner party at Wispers on the Bay Friday night, where they downed Dom Perignon and noshed on salmon, sauteed asparagus, lemon rice, lamb, and angus beef.

“Because she’s been working extremely hard for the past few months recording new music for the album, it was impotant to Nick that the trip be a relaxing one, where Mariah and her friends could truly enjoy themselves,” a pal said.

Mariah Wears The Hot Pants In This Family

Miss Mariah Carey just returned from a big birthday celebration in Barbados -- where we were all reminded, via a beach frolicking, that Nick Cannon got a giant "Mariah" tattoo across his upper back after their wedding.

Sure, Mimi got Mrs. Cannon inked on the small of her back -- small being the operative word. Her itty bitty token of love is easily tatted over, while Nick's would take hours in the chair to remove and bucket fulls of painkillers to handle.

But since Mariah ain't fool enough to plaster her love across her body in giant bubble letters, she opts for more subtle -- yet no less expensive -- displays of adoration. Her latest was this diamond necklace, that stands for Mariah Carey-Canon.

Sweet, right? Well, would it change your opinion to find out that Nick bought the necklace for her?

Mariah Shows Off Her Slopes in Aspen

Mariah Carey and still-surprising husband Nick Cannon made their way up to her annual holiday hot spot - Aspen - yesterday in some nauseatingly matchy-matchy winter wear. After quick stops at the Gucci stores and a few other assorted outlets, they finally hit the slopes!

Or maybe not. In all the year's I've seen Mariah heading out west for X-mas, I don't think I have ever witnessed her slapping in a pair of skis and jumping into the powder. Perhaps she just likes the winter wardrobe.

And lord knows she's not the only one who enjoys it, since the diva always finds a way to flaunt her holiday hills, even when incredibly bundled up.

But this is shaping up to be Mariah's best Christmas ever, since her hubby reportedly purchased a multi-million dollar five-bedroom chalet for the holiday. "He knows Aspen is one of her most favorite places in the world so this is his early Christmas present to her," a source told The Mirror.

But Nick's benevolence with Mariah's money doesn't stop there - he also supposedly placed an enormous diamond ring in each of the rooms, like a rich person scavenger hunt!

Screw Nick, if I were Mariah, I'd slip a sparkler onto each finger and start singing "All I Want For Christmas Is You" to my blinged out hand. But that's just me.
