Melissa's 'Dancing with the Stars' Mistake!

Since my TiVo has never encountered a second of "The Bachelor," I missed seeing Melissa Rycroft have her heart ripped out, "Temple of Doom"-style, by Jason Messupmylife. But since I have a head with eyes and ears, I was well aware of her public flogging. So I was pretty stoked to see her take over for an injured Nancy O'Dell on "Dancing with the Stars" and slay her Viennese waltz despite only having two days to rehearse.

I predicted to a friend after the premiere that Melissa would walk away with the crown this season since both shows aired on ABC, she really can dance and would get a sympathy vote that'd put Scott MacIntyre to shame. Then she went and did the unthinkable -- paraded her new boyfriend around.

First she talked about Ty to People magazine, calling him her "rock." She explained that they had dated previously and rekindled their flaming love after she was dissed on national television. Then last night, Ty sat with Melissa's parents at the show and after her salsa, Melissa ran over and gave him a peck on the lips.

To quote Miss Vivienne, "Big mistake. Big. Huge!" If America knows that she is no longer "The Bachelor's" wounded victim, it has no reason to call in and support her.

It's kinda like when "American Idol's" Simon Cowell told Kris Allen, "I wouldn't have brought out the wife so early" last week following the reveal that he was married. He knew it would probably dissuade his fans from voting. I believe the same will be true now for formerly jilted contestant.

Is Mischa Barton Too Thin For TV?

Actresses slimming down to be on television is almost as omnipresent as the plastic surgery they get to look younger, prettier or perkier. But according to The Daily Express, the producers of Mischa Barton's new series want her to do the unthinkable: gain weight ... to play a model!

In "A Beautiful Life," Mischa would play Sonja -- a veteran of the high fashion circuit who is struggling to stay on top (at 23) and lives in a co-ed Manhattan loft with dozens of other catwalkers.

But according to the source, "Mischa has the part on condition she does not lose weight. They want her to put some weight on if she can." Personally I think producers should spend more time focusing on the fact that Mischa can't really act. Once they deal with that, then they can address any lingering weight worries.

Who Are TV's Sexiest Actors?

Listen up all you consultants, your job is sexier than brain surgery. Well, sorta.

TV Guide magazine named "The Mentalist" star Simon Baker TV's Sexiest Actor, beating out "Grey's Anatomy's" Patrick Dempsey, who held the crown for two years.

Simon plays repentant fake psychic Patrick Jane on the hit show that airs on CBS and in my dreams he plays a prince who rides a white horse and saves me from a ... wait ... sorry. That's private. You also may remember the actor and his eyebrows from "The Devil Wear's Prada."

"My wife said to me this morning 'I could take a photo of you right now and they might take that title away from you'," Simon joked to TV Guide "That is the kind of encouragement I need as I go off to do a photo shoot about having to be sexy."

The other handsome hunks on TV Guide's "sexiest" list included "True Blood's" Ryan Kwanten and hot daddy Matthew Settle from "Gossip Girl." Now, I'm not saying that TV Guide got it wrong -- I love me some "Mentalist" -- but undoubtedly the Aussie isn't everyone's cup o' tea. So let's talk about the hot TV stars that were left off the list! Actually, no -- let's look at them!
