Shilpa Shetty throws party for Rajasthan Royals

Bollywood News : Shilpa Shetty has plans to throw a party for the members of Rajasthan Royals team on the eve of Holi.

The festival of colours is just a week away and Shilpa is using the occasion to boost the morale of the IPL team and bond with the players as well. The actress, along with her boyfriend Raj Kundra, recently bought a 12 percent stake in the team.

Reports say Shilpa will host a pre Holi bash on March 10 at the Grand Hyatt. Many team members, if not all, are expected to attend the party.

Will the guests play the Holi with colours? No. Shilpa says there won’t be any playing with colours but there certainly would be a lot of bhang to get high.

Despite having not-so-considerable stake in the team, Shilpa is set to become the face of Rajasthan Royals because of her popularity. But whether she can bond on the same level with players as Preity Zinta and Shahrukh Khan do, is something that remains to be seen.

To begin with, Shilpa will shoot a video for her team, which, by the way, are the champions of the last year’s tournament.

Bollywood Gossip - Dostana sizzles with Shilpa and John’s presence

Bollywood Gossips : Well, first it was Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, who is believed to have done a really sizzling hot number in Dharma Productions’ Dostana being directed by Tarun Mansukhani. And now it’s Bollywood actor John Abraham’s turn.

No, John is not doing an item number. But he will be flaunting his six packs in Dostana. This is something which will cheer the hearts of his female fans. Apparently the actor will go bare chested for a sequence in the film.

Of course, this is not the first time that he has done so. Even in films like Jism and the more recent No Smoking, the brawny actor was seen bare chested. It seems that producer Karan Johar is not leaving anything to chance in his home production. He has left no stone unturned to ensure that the film grabs attention.

Besides boasting of a cast consisting of Bollywood a John, Priyanka Chopra and Abhishek Bachchan, he went ahead and roped in Shilpa Shetty for an item number. And that’s not all. He is also believed to have roped in actor Bobby Deol to do a special number. He sure does believe in the more the merrier.

Shilpa has spent 15 years in Bollywood but unfortunately she had few good films to her credit. When Karan Johar approached her for Dostana, she readily accepted the offer and even agreed to wear bikini for an item song.

Karan Johar first approached Priyanka Chopra and asked her to tone her body to look perfect in bikini; however she declined to shoot a song in a two-piece. Later, he laid down on Shilpa. It’s a dream come true for her to work in Karan’s film. She will groove in an item number opposite John and Abhishek in bikini to be shot in America’s famous Miami Beach. The item number is going to be too hot that would not only shake UP, Bihar but the entire world

Bollywood Movie “Dostana” is expected to be a remake of 80s classic which starred Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha and Zeenat Aman in the lead role. The new Dostana will star Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra. Karan had approached Aishwarya to play the leading lady opposite Abhishek and John but the plot did not sound thrilling to Ash [Aishwarya Rai] and she turned it down.

Shilpa Shetty too joins the IPL mania

The whole of last year was a buzz with the King Khan and Preity Zinta entering the world of cricket by means of the IPL. Following the suit this year is none other than the leggy lass Shilpa Shetty. Reports are that Shilpa along with business partner Raj Kundra has invested approximately $15.4 million in acquiring 12% stakes in the Rajasthan Royals team.

The Royals which is lead by the legendary Australian spin doctor Shane Warne comprises of other international stars like South African skipper Graeme Smith and Aussie all-rounder Shane Watson. Rajasthan Royals were also last year's IPL winner. Guess it has something to do with the win that prompted Shilpa and Raj to enter the IPL.
