There are a lot of valleys among the peaks in Ben Affleck's career.
"Dazed and Confused," peak. "Paycheck," valley. His work in the Congo, peak. His work in rehab, valley. And while he was the bomb in "Phantoms," Ben feels that the real bomb in his life was his relationship with Jennifer Lopez. Or more specifically, the super-awkward at home interview Bennifer did with Access Hollywood in 2003..
"That special was before the movie ["Gigli"] came out and I did it at the request of the people who financed the movie. I wish I hadn't," Ben tells WENN. "At a certain point I think you have to strike a balance between what you owe people who finance your work and the degree to which you can protect the integrity of your personal life."
I think we can all agree Ben has never been the best about protecting his integrity. If you're unsure of what I mean, check out his bling-tastic cameo in the "Jenny From The Block" music video. Or any photo from their courtship, where he became a super swanky Ken doll within weeks of dating her.
"If I could do it all again, I would not have done that TV special and I will not do anything like it in the future," Ben added.
Now, for anyone who missed the interview, it basically consisted of Jen and Ben trying to prove how normal they are. Jennifer cooked while Ben rubbed her shoulders and played basketball. Oh, what am I talking about -- watch for yourself!
