In the video preview for Ciara's new song, "Love Sex Magic," Ms. Thang is wearing nothing but a leopard cat-suit. However, it didn't make me think of love, sex or magic ... just drag queens.
In the 1 minute and 21 second preview, conveniently located after the jump, Ciara takes you on a kitty cat journey of fashion funk. The song is on point, you know we love it, but the video seems like it's missing a few key elements, like Justin Timberlake! Mr. SexyBack appears on the track but is no where to be found in the clip. Also a no-show is any sort of plot and/or set. Lastly, I am all for taking risks (I tried to watch "Heroes" every season ... tried) but I'm not sure the leap of faith Ciara took with her costume designer was a great choice.
Showing off your killer bod (yes Ciara, it's magical) is one thing, but doing so in a tranny cat-suit is not the best choice. As soon as I laid eyes on you I thought of BeBe from "RuPaul's Drag Race" on LOGO. I'll give you props on your hair and booty-tastic dance moves, but the leopard spandex is just a big ol' mess. Take a look and judge for yourself.
