It would seem that I am not the only one obsessed with "Slumdog Millionaire" star Freida Pinto -- thankfully some of her other fans are in high places. Specifically Barbara Broccoli, who oversees every James Bond movie. Apparently the powerful producer is just as infatuated with the Indian stunner as I am, and is dying to get her in the next James Bond outing. Yay!
"Freida came to the attention of the Bond team when they were casting 'Quantum of Solace,'" a source told The Sun. "She was too young at the time to have a part as a love interest for a secret agent. But she has blossomed into an incredibly stunning young woman and would look perfect on Daniel Craig's arm."
I think this is a brilliant idea and plays into the global appeal of the 007 much better than pairing Bond with someone like Jennifer Aniston, who also wants to get in on the action.
In the grand tradition of Pussy Galore, Plenty O'Toole, Holly Goodhead and Dr. Christmas Jones -- what should Frieda's Bond Girl name be? I'm voting for Bolly Wood.
